Hudbay Minerals Inc. was incorporated on January 16, 1996, under the Ontario Business Corporations Act through the amalgamation of Pan American Resources Inc. and Marvas Developments Ltd., and subsequently renamed Pan American Resources Inc. Hudbay Minerals is an integrated mining company that produces copper concentrates containing copper, gold, and silver, as well as zinc metal. With assets spanning North and South America, the company focuses on market-driven production and marketing of precious metals. Hudbay holds a 70% stake in the Reed copper project near Snow Lake, Manitoba, which is currently under construction and expected to commence production by the end of 2013 at the latest.
