Apple Hospitality REIT, Inc. is a self-managed real estate investment trust (REIT) specializing in income-generating properties, primarily within the lodging industry across the United States. The company owns wholly taxable REIT subsidiaries through which it holds hotels leased from its wholly owned REIT subsidiary. The hotels are operated under management agreements with 16 different hotel management companies, none of which manage the properties independently from the company.
