CHAU, or Direxion Daily CSI 300 China A Share Bull 2X Shares, is a leveraged exchange traded fund (ETF) that aims to provide double the daily return of the CSI 300 index. The CSI 300 index is one of the key benchmarks for China's A-share market, covering 300 of the largest and most liquid stocks on the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchanges. CHAU achieves its leverage goals through the use of financial derivatives such as futures contracts, swap agreements and other leveraged investment strategies.
