It operates through the following segments: Electric Utilities & Infrastructure, Gas Utilities & Infrastructure, and Other. The Electric Utilities & Infrastructure segment operates in regulated electric utilities in the Carolinas, Florida, and the Midwest. The Gas Utilities & Infrastructure segment focuses on natural gas local distribution companies in the Piedmont, Ohio, and Kentucky, as well as natural gas storage and midstream pipeline investments. The Other segment includes interest expense on holding company debt, unallocated corporate costs, and Bison, a wholly owned captive insurance company.
