Packaging Corporation of America, founded on January 25, 1999, is a Delaware-based company that has established itself as the third-largest producer of containerboard products in the United States. Additionally, it is recognized as a leading manufacturer of uncoated freesheet paper in North America. The company operates eight mills and 86 corrugated product manufacturing facilities. Its corrugated product plants produce a wide variety of packaging solutions, including standard containers designed for the protection and transportation of finished goods, eye-catching multi-color boxes and displays that enhance retail product sales, as well as honeycomb protective packaging. Furthermore, Packaging Corporation of America is a prominent producer of packaging for meat, fresh fruits and vegetables, processed foods, beverages, and both industrial and consumer goods. The company also manufactures and markets uncoated freesheet paper, including commodity and specialty papers that may feature custom attributes such as colors, coatings, high brightness, and varying levels of recycled content.
