Founded in 2007, during the early stages of cloud applications and mobility, Zscaler, Inc. was born out of a vision where the cloud would become the new data center and the internet would evolve into the new corporate network. The company foresaw that with the rapid adoption of cloud technology and increasing employee mobility, traditional perimeter security approaches would fail to adequately protect users and data, leading to a deterioration in user experience. Zscaler pioneered a security cloud that represents a fundamental shift in the design and approach to network security architecture.
